Toyota said today that it is launching its largest recall in history, bringing back 3.8 million vehicles because an unsecure floor mat may hit the accelerator, send the car speeding forward and cause accidents. The fix seems simple enough, but that is a lot of cars.

Toyota has told drivers to remove the floor mat until the company comes up with a remedy. The following models are affected:

• 2007 – 2010 Toyota Camry
• 2005 – 2010 Avalon
• 2004 – 2009 Prius
• 2005 – 2010 Tacoma
• 2007 – 2010 Tundra
• 2007 – 2010 Lexus ES350
• 2006 – 2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350

Every carmaker has recalls. But Toyota has had some big ones in recent years. The company recalled 533,000 Tundra pickups and Sequoia suvs in 2007 because of bad ball joints. The Tundra also had problems with the cam shaft in the Tundra’s 5.7-liter V-8. Toyota also had a problem with sludge accumulating in the engines of a handful of models. The company repaired the engines later on, but not after the publicity did some damage.

Muelmar Magallanes is a true hero. Despite the wrath of Typhoon Ondoy and the massive flash flood Ondoy created, this doesn't stop Muelmar Magallanes to help and save lives.

With the help of his older brother, the 18-year-old construction worker tied rope around his waist and took his siblings to safety before going back to the house for his parents, according to the AFP news agency.

Later, he decided go back to save neighbours trapped on rooftops. He then dived back in again when he saw a mother and her six-month-old baby daughter in the water.

"I didn't know that the current was so strong. In an instant, I was under water. We were going to die," the mother Menchie Penalosa told AFP.

"Then this man came from nowhere and grabbed us. He took us to where the other neighbours were, and then he was gone," she added.

Witnesses said an exhausted Mr. Megallanes was simply swept away by the water.

His father Samuel said: "He always had a good heart. We had already been saved. But he decided to go back one last time for the girl."

My tears fell, while writing this post, and I don't really know why. All I can think is, Muelmar Magallanes should be given the right citation, respect and benefits from all of us, specially from the government. His story spreads all over the world. People at different countries admire his heroism, a lot.

I salute your heroism Muelmar!. Your name and heroic act will always be remembered and stay here!.

I can't help to just differentiate Muelmar Magallanes acts to those political personnel including a Vice Mayor of a certain city/municipality.

Reports said, this Vice Mayor ride on a rubber boat along with other kids. He can choose to walk on the flood. Not to mention that the flood is only at knee level. More kids can fill the space he just occupied on that boat. It was just really B.S. seeing those public servants saving themselves first before any other people.

The first footage from Lost's new TV challenger for most whacked premise, Flash Forward, explains where the origins of its title, and drops a big fat geek cameo: Seth MacFarlane.

"Flash Forward" is a show which stars Joseph Fiennes and chronicles the aftermath of a global event in which everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds, and then has mysterious visions of six months into the future.

Still not sure what to think of this whole series (as this is the most we've seen), but I do hope they continue to bring Seth MacFarlane and his super deep voice in as a fellow FBI agent. But we'll have to wait until the pilot airs to know for sure.

The boy, Muhammad Akbar Risuddin, is among the heaviest babies ever delivered who survived.

One of the best things about Robin is his old school nature, he actually researched Canada and Ottawa specifically and the first 20 minutes of his show was local flavored. Hank Baskett Is Traded And Released From Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles released Hank Baskett III to make room for quarterback Michael Vick on their 53-man roster.

It's a shock any time someone is released from a team, but it wasn't a complete surprise to Hank Baskett or his agent since his name was in various preseason trade talks.

On the other hand, Michael Vick, is eligible to practice when the team works out Wednesday, according to an article at Philadelphia Eagles Web site.

Hank Baskett joined the Eagles as a rookie free agent in 2006. He was traded by the Vikings to the Eagles for wide receiver Billy McMullen. In his time as an Eagle, Baskett caught 72 passes for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns.

Baskett was due to become a restricted free agent this past off-season, but the Eagles signed him to a one-year tender worth $1.545 million. That was Hank Baskett salary. If another team signed Baskett, the Eagles would have received a second-round draft pick as compensation.

But, Hank Baskett signed and looked forward to a significant role in the offense. However, the Eagles drafted Jeremy Maclin in the first round of April's draft and then added Brandon Gibson in the sixth round.

A student who witnessed the stabbing said to CBS:
“I saw the guy (Juan Carlos Rivera) bleeding, I saw a guy in pain holding his chest and as soon as he fell to the ground I ran over to help him as soon as I could.”

Here’s what happened. The nominations for Best Female Video were announced. Taylor Swift was announced the winner and just after she thanked her fans for giving her the award, Kanye West grabbed the microphone out of her hand and said “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”
