Briarhurst Manor Ghost Hunters

The Manitou's Briarhurst Manor is built by Dr. William Bell and family back in 1874 will be featured for an entire show on the SCi-Fi Network's "Ghost Hunters" Wednesday night, Oct. 28. So It can be the "Briarhurst Manor Ghost Hunters" show.

FOX21 News checked in Tuesday to see what the buzz is all about and learned some former visitors have never checked out.

"Welcome to the Briarhurst Manor. Come in if you dare," say Erik and Tammila Wright, the Briarhurst Manor's directors of Historic and Paranormal Research.

"Vases fly across the room, silverware spinning on plates, things grabbing you that you can't see," adds Erik says.

"That will get your attention," laughs Tammila.

With 26 years experience -- more than a year at Manitou's historic residence, you might call the Wright's your ghost hosts.

Briarhurst Manor's president Ken Healey believes we're all just guests in someone else's house. "I've always considered that. We're here as caretakers to keep the place alive and well," adds Healey.

"If you don't believe in ghosts, come here if you're a skeptic. You won't be when you leave," explains Erik Wright.

No Ceilings? Not just yet! Lil Wayne is still in the studio working on his latest mixtape. On Wednesday morning (October 27) several songs from No Ceilings leaked onto the Internet, but the Young Money camp has assured MTV News that Weezy is still working on the mixtape (two songs from which leaked on the day of his guilty plea for attempted gun possession last week) and the full product will not land until Halloween.

Among the leaks is an interlude where Wayne explains why he wanted to make this project.

"Welcome," he says. "I appreciate you for having this. If you got this, if you're listening to this, thank you. This is for you. It's a big thank you for coming out to all the days and nights on tours, for coming and supporting me every single night. Even if you didn't come to the tour, it's just thank you."

Funny Halloween Costume Ideas For Men And Women

Looking for a cheap, easy, fast, funny costume this Halloween? Try one of these ideas, sure to be a hit when trick-or-treating or at parties.

1) Dress up as you normally do. If someone asks what you are, tell them you're a werewolf. If they ask why you have no hair or fangs, explain that it's not a full moon.

2) Get a bag of white balloons and a box. Put the box over your head and cut out holes for your arms. Paint the box a bright color and the word "soap" across it. Then tape the bubbles to the top of the box around your shoulders and head.

Sweet Pumpkin Seed Recipe Ingredients:

* 1 cup pumpkin seeds
* 1 tablespoon melted butter or vegetable oil
* 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, or more, to taste
* 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
* 1/8 teaspoon allspice

Preparation:
1). Rinse seeds well and get as much of the pumpkin pulp off of them as possible.
2). Pat dry with paper towels. Don't let them dry completely on the paper towels, because they might stick!
3). Toss seeds with the butter, sugar, and spices.
4). Heat oven to 300°. Spread coated seeds in a shallow baking sheet, turning from time to time, for about 45 to 60 minutes, or until nicely browned and crunchy.

The first Muslim holiday being observed is the Eid’l Fitr of the Festival of Breaking the Feast.

According to Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, the president made the decision to declare the said dates as national holidays after consultations with labor and business leaders, who did not oppose to the move.

On the eve of her birthday, President Arroyo has signified her intention to declare November 27 and 28, 2009 as national holidays in celebration of the Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, the culmination of the Islamic world’s Harirya Hajj or the pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca), Saudi Arabia, of Muslims all over the world,” Ermita said.

The new holiday will also make the last week of November as a four-day work break as November 30 (monday) will also be a Holiday (Bonifacio Day). As celebrated annually, November 30 or Bonifacio Day will still be a regular holiday this year.

So in summary, November 1, 2, 27, 28 and 30 will be all November 2009 Philippines holidays.

Plantraco Microflight in Saskatoon are making hundreds of their Balloon Boy Halloween costume kits to meet demand for the product. Since offering the costume for sale on their website Tuesday, the company has sold several dozen kits and expects to sell many more after being on the receiving end of media attention, said operations manager Jason Toews.

Toews said the company decided to make the costume kit after watching the balloon boy story unfold over the past few days. The kit includes a 38-inch helium balloon made out of mylar material and a gondola bottom with a hatch entrance. When assembled and filled with helium, the product looks like a scale model of the UFO-like weather balloon in which six-year-old Falcon Heene was said to have floated away from his Colorado home last Thursday.

“That costume is the No. 1 seller today,” he said Wednesday afternoon.

PRC ID Registration Requirements

The PRC said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, October 26, but not later than November 13, 2009.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

1. Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
2. Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
3. 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
4. 2 pieces 1"x1" picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
5. 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
6. 1 short brown envelope with name and profession.

Registrants will pay the initial registration fee of P600 and annual registration fee of P450 for 2009-2012. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the roster of registered professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees will be held on November 18, 2009, 1 p.m. at the plenary hall of the Philippine International Convention Center, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Inc. will start on Monday, October 26, 2009.

The Verizon Droid is a Motorola handset developed in conjunction with Google. Running Google’s Android 2.0 operating system, the Droid does a range of things that iPhone doesn’t according to the ad, including offering a physical keyboard, multitasking, a five-megapixel camera, widgets, “open development,” a removable battery and more.

Android 2.0 is the first major upgrade for Google’s mobile operating system, and from leaked shots appearing online it finally gets some decent built in visuals. He played college football at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and graduated from Watson Chapel Senior High School.

Wesley was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the 4th round (100th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft. In March of 2006 he signed a 2-year contract with the Chicago Bears.

Raj Rajaratnam Arrested For Insider Trading in the US

Here is the hottest and latest news regarding Raj Rajaratnam of Galleon Group and his insider trading case.

One of America's wealthiest men, Raj Rajaratnam, was among six hedge fund managers and corporate executives arrested Friday in a hedge fund insider trading case that authorities say generated more than $25 million in illegal profits.

The founder of the Galleon Group, is also connected with an indictment against a Sri Lankan member of Parliament and two others, according to the Daily Mirror of Sri Lanka.

Raj Rajaratnam, a portfolio manager for Galleon Group, a hedge fund with up to $7 billion in assets under management, was accused of conspiring with others to use insider information to trade securities in several publicly traded companies, including Google Inc.

The MP and his two accomplices were indicted for depositing $3 million in a private Sri Lankan bank without informing the nation’s central bank, a violation of Sri Lanka’s banking rules. According to the indictment, $1 million of the funds came directly from Galleon on Dec. 22, 2006, and $2 million were deposited by Mr. Rajaratnam on Jan. 3, 2007. The funds were intended to purchase shares in the Union Bank of Sri Lanka, according to the Mirror.

Raj Rajaratnam, a Tamil born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and widely regarded as a Wall Street wonder boy for perpetual returns over 10 percent, was not indicted in that case. The trial, scheduled to begin Sept. 25, has been postponed until February.

In the US case, federal investigators closed in on Rajaratnam through a series of wiretaps. Authorities say that the case against Rajaratnam and five codefendants is the largest ever against a hedge fund.

Rajaratnam alone racked up more than $12.7 million in profits for Galleon by trading on insider knowledge about companies including Hilton Hotels, Google, Akamai, and Advanced Micro Devices, according to the FBI.

Richard Heene, Father Of Balloon Boy Falcon Heene

Richard Heene is a storm chaser, an amateur scientist and is part of a group called the Psyience Detectives along with former TV weatherman Scott Stevens. The two began a project in which they researched how to better predict storm movements.

Richard Heene along with this family, had been building an experimental aircraft with a large helium balloon attached at their home.

Richard Heene, his wife Mayumi and their three children appeared on the ABC show "WifeSwap," and focused on their love of science on the show.

Falcon Heene, Richard Heene's 6-year-old son got stuck in their homemade balloon as the Heene family from Fort Collins, Colorado. KUSA reported that according to the family and officials, the boy got into the aircraft and untied the rope holding it in place before the balloon floated away.

Good thing that, Falcon Heene was now found safe at the comfort of their own house.

Falcon Heene, was found hiding in a cardboard box in an attic above the family's garage, said Sheriff Jim Alderden.

"He's OK, he's been located, he's at the house," "Investigators will interview him and find out what occurred."

Based on the eyewitness account of his older brother, who told authorities he saw the 6-year-old Falcon Heene stow himself in the balloon's basket just prior to its take off, authorities initially believed the boy was aboard the balloon, and followed the mylar aircraft for two hours before it ran out of helium and crashed near the Denver airport.

But when investigators reached the aircraft, the boy was nowhere to be found. Believing he may have fallen out of the aircraft, investigators searched a miles-wide area looking for Falcon after his older brother.

The other way to neutralize a vindictive narcissist is to offer him continued narcissistic supply until the war is over and won by you.

Dazzled by the drug of narcissistic supply - the narcissist immediately becomes tamed, forgets his vindictiveness and triumphantly takes over his "property" and "territory". Under the influence of narcissistic supply, the narcissist is unable to tell when he is being manipulated.
