News websites and blogs reported a while ago that, Ron Artest wanted to change his name into Metta World Peace.

According to reliable sources, Ron Artest's legal counsel or lawyer recently submitted a kind of petition in Los Angeles Superior Court regarding the name change. Ron Artest is born with the name of Ronald William Artest Jr. According to the documents being filed, some personal reasons are the reasons behind this out of this world change of name.
